The West Milford Lions Club will be presenting the 6th annual Broadway in the Highlands variety show on March 21st at 3pm in the West Milford High School Auditorium. Ticket prices are as follows: Adults-$10.00, Seniors-$8.00, and Students $6.00. The tickets are sold at the door or you can call 973-728-1684.
Proceeds will benefit Lions Charities. The West Milford Lions Club is a 501(c) (3) tax exempt organization so all donations/tickets are tax exempt.
The club has been has had very interesting guest speakers at the meetings. The idea behind the guest speaker program is to educate and inform our members of community programs, as well as Lions charities/organizations. Some of our recent guests were Pat Bonnier-explaining the importance of the Blood Bank and educated the members as to the components of our blood and the uses of each by the Blood Bank.
Gary Oppenheimer spoke to us about Ample Harvest which is a program to get surplus garden produce to food pantries. David Watson-Hallowell educated the club as to the purpose and goals of Sustainable West Milford.
